Pulleys have long been our major business, so we make them well. As a longtime supplier of drive and idler pulleys to the outdoor power equipment industry, NHI helped establish the manufacture and use of standard idler pulleys for original equipment manufacturers more than 40 years ago. In 1990, we decided to become a more complete supplier and began to pioneer the production of split-formed steel drive pulleys. Today we’ve expanded our expertise by engineering standard NHI components into custom products designed to meet special needs and applications. NHI offers five basic lines of drive and idler pulleys to meet your specified application needs. H. Neuman products fall into four categories including synchronous timing belts.

“H” Series Idler Pulleys
Stamped metal, welded pulleys available in standard diameters ranging from 2.75" to 7.00". ABEC 1 retainer type, sealed ball bearings offer premium performance, long life. Designed for heavy and moderate loads at operating speeds up to 8000 RPM. Single, double or no-flange flat configurations; round or V-groove.

“A” Series Idler Pulleys
For moderate loads and operating speeds up to 6000 RPM. Stamped metal, welded construction with double row, sealed, full complement bearings. Available in 1.00" to 4.00" diameters. Proven reliability after 30 years in use. Single, double or no-flange flat configurations; round or V-groove.

Split-formed Steel Sheaves
A proven, cost-effective alternative to cast sheaves in many applications. Uniform, compact and available in diameters ranging from 3.00"- 20.00", split-formed steel drive pulleys provide excellent load capacity, exceptional runout and balance characteristics, reduced weight, high resistance to shock loads and groove flex. Groove configurations include flat, round and V, flanged or unflanged. Available with or without hubs for various mounting requirements. May also be employed as idler pulleys through the use of various hub and bearing components.

Molded Polymer Pulleys and Cable Guides
Symmetrical design provides inherent dynamic balance for smooth, quiet operation. Durable, ribbed, glass-reinforced polymer housings incorporate ABEC 1 ball bearings or double row rolled race bearings depending on load, speed, life and reliability requirements. Natural black finish needs no plating or painting. Flat, radius and V-groove configurations available.

CNC Machined Pulleys
A viable and economical alternative for low volume requirements in single or multi-groove pulleys. Advantages include tough, durable single-piece construction, large bore capabilities and integral hubs. A good choice for applications requiring special materials such as stainless steel. Machined on CNC equipment with 3" through the head turning and 13" maximum chucking capacities.
